Here are some samples of words.

The country of my birth

To leave the country of my birth, where generations have lived and worked

It wasn’t safe for us to stay, facing danger every day

To a new world, is where we turn

On distant red skies, our memories burn

Angels guide us far from home, go to sleep my little one

Brothers and sisters all over the world, who knows where?

Mothers and fathers are left behind

Let me in

Let me in, out of the cold

Your light, burning bright, brings warmth to my soul

Let me in, I’m alone

My body’s aching, my spirit so low

Many miles I have travelled now                    Let me in

I’m such a long way from home                     Out of the cold

I don’t know where I‘m heading for               Your light, burning bright

How long must I journey on?                          Brings warmth to my soul

One Step Forward

The clock’s ticking by, there is no time for doubt

One Step forward, don’t look back

On that road to reach your star

If you are lost, you will have to find new pathways

One Step forward, don’t look back

On that road to reach your star

Don’t let them put you down, they’ll mess your head around

Don’t let them mock your dreams, the road may be long

Ever in hope

Ever in hope, may we be free, a fair and strong community

To care and lend a helping hand, our hopes lie with this land

Ever in prayer, we pray to God, to teach our children right from wrong

To try to live a worthwhile life, never fearing strife

Ever in hope, Ever in prayer, Ever in dreams

I hear you calling

Stories have filled my head, I’m dreaming, golden sands, turquoise seas are gleaming

I hear you calling, I hear you calling me home, I hear you calling, I hear you calling me home

Softly the warming breeze is blowing, trees of life silhouette, pink skies glowing

I hear you calling, I hear you calling me home, I hear you calling, I hear you calling me home

Ghosts in the distance, I feel their spirits, calling, calling me home

Crying Angel

On the outskirts of the town, stands the church of Notre Dame

Deep inside an angel cries, for those whose hope and spirit dies

Crying angel, they fell, so brave in battle’s hell

Crying Angel, in strife, the brevity of life

As I stand here alone, the crying angel takes me home

Standing by my backroom door, I don’t feel pain any more

A New Spring

Now it is springtime and the cherry blossom falls, covering the ground

Men return, tired and worn

Their lives have been on pause

Fighting for a cause, they dont understand

Hail, a new spring
